iPhone 2G
On June 29, 2007, Steve John CEO of Apple company revealed the first-ever iPhone with two versions; 4GB for $499 and 8GB for $599. In that year people were astonished to use a touch screen phone of 3.5 inches bearing a weight of 135g and thickness of 11.6mm. This newly invented iPhone offers a 2MP camera, 128MB memory which we won’t even consider nowadays, and the main unique feature was the multi-touch screen.
iPhone 3G & 3Gs
Right after a year, a descendant of the original iPhone was invented on July 11, 2008. As the name goes, it offers 3G based connectivity and offer more storage than the iPhone 2G; 8GB for $199 and 16GB for $299 making it cheaper too. The only distinguishing features were the installed GPS and the presence of an App store. The next-in-line, a faster version of the iPhone 3G was revealed on June 19, 2009. It offers more storage i.e. up to 32GB and memory of 256MB because the presence of the app store leads to the installation of various apps requiring more space. The camera was upgraded to 3MP. An extra feature was of video recording and voice control and it was much less expensive 32GB was for $299.
iPhone 4 & 4s
the iPhone 4 with its 512MB memory can equiped far more features than the previous ones. This iPhone was out-lined on June 24, 2010, because of being the first front-faced camera phone. Prices, storage were the same and the specifications too. The only other unique characteristic was of retina display and 5MP camera. An upgrade of this iPhone was the iPhone 4s having an 8MP camera and 64GB storage.
iPhone 5, 5s & 5c
The iPhone 5 brought a drastic change along with it on September 21, 2012. Memory was uplifted up to 1GB and the screen was big around 4 inches. It was the first phone through which the internet can be used anywhere anytime with the help of LTE connectivity. Two other models were invented in the next year i.e. 2013; 5s and 5c, among which 5s was the proper successor of the iPhone 5. All the specs and features were the same as both models however; 5s offers touch ID too.
iPhone 6, 6 Plus & 6s, 6s Plus
In the year 2014, the iPhone 6 and 6 plus were revealed with much bigger screen 4.7 and 5.5 inches respectively. The one great upgrading was the availability of storage up to 128GB; the rest was the same as the iPhone 5. Whereas iPhone 6s and 6s plus were disclosed next year with more outstanding features than others. The camera was finally upgraded to 12MP and the memory was doubled for the first time i.e. from 1GB to 2GB.
iPhone 7 & 7 Plus
This series of iPhone totally blew up the line in 2016 by finally starting the base model from 16 GB and goes up to 256GB and the introduction of wireless air pods. Iphone 7 plus shows its plus point because of the dual camera it possessed. By far these were the best when performance was considered.
iPhone 8 & 8 Plus
Wireless air pods then why not wireless charging? Both of them in 2017 offered this wireless feature along with the presence of a glass back giving it a classy look. The camera was improved and the display too by standardizing the blue-light exposure.
iPhone X, XS & XS Max
Later that same year, Apple launched another big revolutionary iPhone X devoid of the home button presenting itself in a larger screen and having a dual front-faced camera with high-quality results and HD displays. An up-gradation to this phone was the development of iPhone XS & XS max in 2018 with increased processing power and a decrease in battery drainage. XS max also offered the largest screen in the iPhone history that is 6.5 inches.
iPhone 11, 11 Pro & 11 Pro Max
iPhone 11 was launched on 11 September 2019. Unlike others, it offered two cameras at the back making the angle wider and has water resistivity up to 30 minutes because of thick glass covering. iPhone 11 Pro features three 12MP cameras offering ultra-wide lenses whereas the iPhone 11 pro max is the same other than 6.5-inch screen.
